I volunteer at Dragonboat Regattas in Vancouver’s False Creek. Dragonboat racing is a popular sport in Vancouver with thousands of participants. This weekend I was driving race referees around the race course all afternoon. There was one other referee and boat driver and between the four of us we had no extra people on the water. Which meant that we spent the entire afternoon out on the water helping to run race after race.
You are what you believe. If the people in an organization think the company is small, they will act that way. If they think the company is big, they will act that way. It all comes down to belief.
When sailing, you need to constantly adjust the sails to the current wind conditions. If the wind changes one way, you need to grind on the winch and pull the sail in. If the wind alters direction the opposite way, you need to let off some line so that sail can let the wind push itself out.
Can you remember when you were young and thinking of meeting friends at the amusement fair? The sense of anticipation, the excitement, and finally meeting up with friends and taking your first ride together. Feeling the buzz of friendship, andrenaline, and a night out.
Today’s world offers lots of opportunities to be creative. It is easier than ever to create a blog, post a photo, or write a tweet.
