After school I stood in our garage looking up at the rafters with just an hour of light left in the fall day. Outside the first snowfall of the season had covered the ground with a thin blanket of white goodness. Inside I was bursting with excitement to start skiing for the season. Not wanting to ruin my new skis, I took down an old pair of wooden skis with cable bindings. I put them on the garage bench, taking down tools to adjust the old bindings to my new ski boots.

Alignment at RTOWN

I recently attended a presentation by RTOWN co-founder and CEO Luke Aulin. What I liked about Luke’s presentation is how he showed us all the ways in which he brought alive his planning and execution ideas in RTOWN. Luke founded RTOWN with a single purpose:

“To help local businesses succeed.”

A Whole Day with Seth Godin

“People like us, do things like that”

This was one of my biggest take away ideas from the day I spent in New York with entrepreneur, marketer, and teacher Seth Godin. I’ve been paying attention to Seth Godin, reading his books, his blog, and watching his videos since I first saw him speak at the Direct Marketing Conference in 2005. I admire Seth for many reasons and jumped at the chance to spend an entire day with him (and several hundred others) at his one Q&A session in the US in 2016.
