You set the example of the values and culture for your employees. How you show up every day sets the tone for everyone in the company. The environment you work in helps you set the tone you want. High performing companies set clear goals and provide constant feedback to everyone as to how the company is doing against these goals. Email is more likely to hinder progress than it is to help, unless you set clear limits about email and you make sure you stick to your own rules. Let your people be their best, by putting the following into action:
- In the next week, change one aspect of your environment and note the difference in how you show up and behave.
- Communicate your goals, progress, and activities to all employees every week.
- Set companywide limits on email and make sure that you follow them within the next 90 days.
